Coming few years will see Manufacturing assuming greater importance in the Indian Economy and for the Indian Industry to become competitive in the world market, it is imperative that the industry inculcates a culture of Kaizen (Continuous Small Improvements).
Small improvements carried out by the companies exhibit the positive and active involvement of the employees.
I have made a personal commitment to Dr Manmohan Singh, Honourable Prime Minister of India to create a Kaizen website. This site will have one lakh Kaizens from different industry, process and product so that it becomes The Knowledge of the Nation. Members of the Indian Industry will be able to share this repository of knowledge and benefit from it.
I look forward for the whole hearted support of the industry to make this initiative a success.
